Detroit Pistons: Longtime Owner Bill Davdison Passes

Longtime owner of the Pistons, passed away at the age of 86. Davidson was inducted into the hall of fame 6 months ago and he has owned the Detroit Pistons Basketball team since 1974. Davidson reportedly bought the pistons for $7 million and turned it into a mega power in the NBA and the organization is now worth over $500 million.

The Pistons beat the Raptors last night in overtime and they were told of the loss. The team was reported as deeply saddened and mostly did not have much to say as they mourned.

Mr. Davidson was a great owner and I would like to thank him and his family as a fan, for running a top-notch NBA franchise and bringing championships to Detroit. I hope the team will continue to be run in his legacy and keep up the high level of play and professionalism of the team and organization that has become the Detroit Pistons we know today.

Good bye “Mr D” the fans will miss you and fans of the Pistons were lucky to have you. Thanks again for all you have done for the team and its fans.
